What do I need for my site to be visible online?

For starters, you need to purchase a domain from a friendly domain registrar. To top that off, you will need web hosting, and maybe a little enthusiasm, because there is nothing more exciting than launching a brand new site! Congratulations for making it this far, by the way.

The web hosting company I'm looking at is promoting free domains, what should I do?

My experience with the free domains that web hosting companies offer has been difficult. Should you decide to leave your current web host, for whatever reason, your domain is stuck there and it's often difficult to transfer it to your next host.
